Job description
About the position:
This position involves testing and deployment of Land Surface Albedo (LSA) software solutions in support of science/innovation and product sustainment in NOAA/NESDIS/STAR’s satellite land product development team for relevant products’ development, validation, and monitoring.
The job tasks focus on implementing the algorithm updates, testing the performance using a combination of scripting (Python) and C++ language in automating the testing, building, and validation specific to each product. The candidate needs to collaborate on the design and implementation of an improved version of land albedo product software to facilitate easy maintenance and robustness. The candidate will collaborate with framework developers to adapt software for operational platforms. This will involve working directly with developers to analyze application architecture (e.g., software dependencies) and using that information to develop the software configuration.
