 Undergraduate Studies

Our undergraduate program is a four-year program culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science. Students may choose from one of five options in the meteorology and atmospheric science major: atmospheric chemistry, environmental meteorology, weather forecasting and communications, weather risk management, or the general option.

Graduate Studies

We offer both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees and have a solid reputation for excellence in research and teaching in all areas of the atmospheric sciences, as well as in traditional meteorology. Our faculty's expertise ranges from the oceans to the upper atmosphere, and encompasses all facets of the atmosphere and its impact on our planet.

Online Learning

Whether you are an amateur weather enthusiast or a weather-related industry professional, enrolling in the online Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting program is a perfect way to enhance your career or degree. This online 12-credit certificate program of study will enable you to build a foundational understanding of contemporary forecasting techniques. We do not offer a four-year B.S. degree online at this time.

Commonwealth Campus Students

Yes, you can start your Bachelor's degree in Meteorology at a Commonwealth Campus and finish at University Park (main campus).  Please follow the link above for the recommended course sequencing so that you can make a smooth transition to main campus and graduate on time in just four years.
