Joint Brazilian and U.S. project to study formation of rain in the Amazon forests

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Triggering rainfall in the Brazilian Amazon jungles is the focus of a project to take place as part of the GoAmazon program (http://campaign.arm.gov/goamazon2014/). The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and Brazilian agencies. Leading the investigation is Meteorology Assistant Professor Marcelo Chamecki. On the Brazilian side, Antonio Manzi and Celso von Randow are the co-investigators.
